We will be holding a virtual Chief Power Engineer meeting on October 6 from 15:00-17:00 provided we get enough interest. We are holding this meeting a couple weeks before the ACPEEC conference to minimize time commitments and give some flexibility to the attendees personal schedules. This chief power engineers meeting was very successful in 2019 and based on feedback we heard from you this was something you wanted to continue so that Chief Power Engineers could come to together to discuss important topics. For those that attended in 2019, the chief power engineers meeting is aimed at being more of a facilitated discussion rather that a classroom style presentation. We want to provide an environment for open collaboration and discussion with the group so we can all learn from each other.
The objectives for the meetings are:
Some topics we are considering for the meeting are:
These are 3 topics we have received feedback about but we are open to hear your feedback as well so please let us know if there is a topic you would like to hear more about and discuss at the meeting. The invite will be open to all Chief Power Engineers and one guest so that you can bring someone from your company to give them exposure and a learning opportunity.
The second webinar in 2021 for the The Alberta Chief Power Engineers Education Committee was held on May 14, 2021. Our presenter was Dr. Mark Kolodziej on the topic of “Does training automatically mean competency"

As educator, consultant and entrepreneur, Mark's repertoire of clients span a broad range of sectors, from educational facilities to business industries. Thanks to everyone who attended and special thanks to our presenter Dr. Mark Kolodziej
